Розглянуто використання терміну “гібридні житлові будинки” в сучасній архітектурі. Встановлено три напрямки використання терміну; перший з яких пов’язаний з гібридною інженерною стратегією; другий – з віддаленою роботою на дому; третій – з програмною складністю і формуванням функціональних гібридів. В останньому напрямку виявлено тенденцію формування внутрішнього типологічного гібриду. Визначено; що функціональні житлові гібриди є різновидом мегаструктури.
