У історичному архітектурно-культурному середовищі важливість бальнеологічних комплексів та курортів беззаперечна. В нинішніх умовах важливу роль у життєдіяльності людини відіграє рекреація. З-поміж загальних функцій рекреації - відновлення фізичних, психологічно-емоційних, духовних, інтелектуальних сил людини. Бальнеологічний комплекс Немирів посідає чільне місце в цій системі. Постало завдання дослідження феномену цього курорту, врахування його в оцінці потенціалу й обґрунтування перспектив розвитку - активізації лікувально-оздоровчої та рекреаційно-туристичної діяльності, підвищенню атрактивності курорту.
