На основі власних натурних і теоретичних досліджень на предмет соціально-економічного і урбаністичного розвитку українського села у ХХІ ст., та пов’язаних з ним трансформацій і диференціацій сельбищних територій сіл і, зокрема, сільської садиби, авторка аналізує і класифікує п’ять типів сільських поселень та їхніх садиб. За домінуючими функціональними ознаками на основі двох складових: сільсько-ландшафтного та сільськогосподарського профілю діяльності мешканців села.
