Підіймаються актуальні питання містобудівного розвитку системи закладів охорони здоров'я України, зокрема нового її типу - університетської лікарні. На відміну від існуючих в Україні клінічних лікарень, університетські лікарні повинні створити нове і потужне підґрунтя для формування комплексних осередків розвитку медицини у науково-дослідних, лікувальних, освітніх та промислово-експериментальних напрямах. З цієї позиції у статті розглянуті особливості містобудівного розміщення університетських лікарень та їх архітектурних рішень.
